1 Inspection Specifications

Depending on the quality requirements and volumes purchased from suppliers, we can carry out:
PPI - Pre Production Inspection to ensure compliance of the quality management system with standards and compliance of production facilities with your tasks. Inspection of raw materials and materials for the production of goods, production lines.
Inspection of Warehouse Complexes for compliance of storage conditions, accounting systems, internal instructions with your tasks and quality management system.
DPI - During Production Inspection allows you to identify problems, manufacturing defects and product deficiencies at an early stage.
PSI - Pre Shipment Inspection is designed to check finished products for compliance with stated requirements, quality and quantity standards. This inspection is carried out after production is completed, when the batch of goods is completely manufactured and at least 80% of it is packaged.
LS - Loading Supervision is aimed at checking the quantity of goods, integrity of packaging, labeling and loading conditions. Upon completion of the inspection, the vehicle is sealed in the presence of the inspector.

2 Audit of the Supplier, Production, Warehouses

PPI Pre Production Inspection
It is important to visit the enterprise before concluding a procurement or contract manufacturing contract and make sure that the necessary raw materials and equipment, warehouses with raw materials and finished products, and quality control departments are available.
Additionally, to verify manufacturing companies in China, we request documentary evidence of integrity:
  • Charter documents of the company;
  • Licenses, including Export licenses for the required types of goods;
  • Certificates and documents of the quality management system;
  • Data on the number of employees;
  • Certificate of availability of the necessary equipment on balance or leased.
The result of the production inspection is a photo report, with the help of which you can look at the production, a written auditor’s report on the state of your supplier’s facilities and warehouses, the quality management system, and the production’s compliance with regulations for this product.

3 DPI — During Production Inspection

During Production Inspection (DPI) is used to assess the quality of an order and its compliance with customer requirements in the early stages, when at least 10% of the product has been produced. Identifying defects at this stage allows you to allocate more time to correct them and make adjustments. This type of inspection also helps confirm that current production is on schedule.
Samples for inspection are randomly selected in accordance with international standards and procedures. CVG uses ISO 2859-1 (AQL) standards to sample and determine acceptable levels of product quality.
When is this inspection carried out?
Typically, an interim inspection is carried out when 10% to 60% of production is complete.

4 PSI — Pre Shipment Inspection

This is an inspection of ordered goods by an independent survey company to ensure that your order meets specified requirements before dispatch. In a globalized marketplace, it is therefore extremely important to ensure that agreed specifications are followed. Our clients often ask questions about the procedure for organizing pre-shipment inspections and ways to prevent possible risks. Such inspections are carried out:
  • To check batches of raw materials, since low-quality raw materials can lead to the release of a large number of defective products, and returning raw materials will not be economically viable.
  • For inspection of manufactured high-tech equipment, machines, machines, production lines and systems. In this case, pre-shipment inspection is necessary as a precautionary measure. The time factor also plays an important role here, since a delay in the launch of equipment or production can lead to serious losses.
  • To control large quantities of relatively inexpensive goods, such as electrical equipment, consumer electronics, sports equipment, toys and office supplies. In these situations, when goods are inexpensive and sales margins are low, it is especially important to ensure their high quality. Poor quality products may cause complaints, which will lead to additional time and financial costs.

5 LS — Loading Supervision

Make sure that the shipped goods comply with the data specified in the accompanying documents, as well as compliance with loading requirements. The inspection is carried out on the day of loading into the vehicle and covers the following aspects: the exact quantity of goods, integrity of packaging, correct labeling and loading conditions. Upon completion of the inspection, the vehicle is sealed in the presence of the inspector.

6 Reports of pre-shipment and other listed inspections

The results of the pre-shipment inspection include:
  • Photo report of the batch of goods itself, marked with permanent tape or stickers;
  • Indications of damage to the packaging recorded in the survey report;
  • Storage conditions, if necessary;
  • Sampling report and test report conducted by an independent laboratory (if necessary);
  • Photos of all accompanying documents;
  • Data on the weight of the lot, since in some cases it is recommended to re-weigh the load for comparison with the documentation.
