Depending on the quality class of such solid biofuel, it is subject to various requirements and specifications described in the first two parts of the large standard ISO 17225:2021. Before making transactions, we recommend that you check the contract with the standard in terms of specifications and adhere to the standard in terms of quality indicators, this way you will reduce your commercial risks.
Storage and logistics of wood pellets poses a number of difficulties:
- Self-heating of granular biofuel, which often leads to the destruction of granules, the release of resins and damage to the cargo. To prevent such incidents, the ISO 20049-1:2020 standard was developed, which makes it possible to determine in advance the tendency to such a process.

Coking coals are a difficult cargo to control in terms of quality
Coking coals, unlike grades only suitable for generating electricity, have a number of properties that complicate trade and logistics:
